Why choose Faux Leather?
Faux leather gives your furniture the elegance and style of real leather at a fraction of the cost of the real thing.
More importantly, it requires less care and treatment than real leather and is very easy to clean. Real leather is super-absorbent and will easily stain. Faux leather is made of polyurethane or PVC – a type of plastic – and can be quickly wiped down
How to clean it
Naturally, cleaning a stain before it has a chance to dry will make your job easier than letting it sit. Baby wipes can quickly take care of small spills and stains.
For large stains, mix a few teaspoons of laundry detergent or dish washing cleaner with warm water. Dampen a cloth with the mixture and blot a portion of the stain. Once the stain show signs of shifting, apply the cloth to the rest of the stain. Finally, wipe off the soap suds with a paper towel.
For preventative cleaning to keep your faux leather furniture from fading, whenever you vacuum the room run it over your furniture using the upholstery attachment. Once every few months, give your furniture the once over with an upholstery cleaning spray.
